Multiple outs from Trigger Finger Pro

How is it possible to load a drum kit in arsenal and assign say Pad Bank A to MIDI channel 1 in your DAW and Pad Bank B to MIDI channel 2? I have loaded multiple instances of Arsenal and recorded individual tracks from different banks within the same kit. I can create all of the channels in my DAW but I can not assign them in Arsenal. I did not see any setting where you can change the channel outs for the pad banks or even better, for the individual pads. I hope this is a feature since most drum tracks have the individual elements processed and mixed as opposed to mixing the whole drum track on one channel.

  • Midi channel assignment only works in midi mode not in Arsenal mode, AFAIK. But you can assign separate audio outputs in Arsenal, on a pad basis. At least this works for air drums.

    - Open Arsenal

    - load an air drums patch

    - left click on a pad

    - Select pad fx

    - under output bus you can select between 8 Stereo outputs.

    - Set the audio outputs in studio one 2 : in Arsenal hit CH. Now mark all outputs. Create a audio track and set the outputs of Arsenal as inputs.

  • Thanks again for the help but the process seems fairly confusing and I couldn't reroute my current set up to get the individual pads to each individual channel in Studio One 2. I think I will just load multiple instances of Arsenal so I can easily and more efficiently control mix the drums I'm using. M Audio should have a feature that will allow you to send an entire pad bank to a single midi channel as well as individual pads. maybe it's just me but the process for issuing individual pads their own midi channel is not very user friendly.

  • On the hardware you can set the banks to midi mode and assign a channel to each pad.
    - Hit "PAD"
    - Hit "Edit Pad"
    - hit "more"
Now you can change the Midi Channel from PREFS to a channel of your choice. It looks though that it has to be done for each pad seperatly (so 64 Pads if you like to set a midi Channel for each pad!). That makes it a bit more difficult than neccessary.

  • Planning to buy a TriggerFinger Pro.
I need some help in external gear - sequncer theme:

1: If you made a pattern by different pads can you copy to a new sequence where you are able deleting/adding some sounds afterwards?
    2. Can i use 16 midi channel simultanously? I mean like Midi Ch1: A-B-C-D padbank; Midi Ch2: An other A-B-C-D bank and so on...?

Thanks in advance for your help.
