Uno blinking green lights

When I connect my uno from my keyboard to my computer, I only see a blinking green light for the usb, not for the MIDI IN or MIDI OUT. I installed the lastest drivers. Although FL Studio MIDIsport Uno out and Midisport Uno IN, my keyboard doesn't seem to be working in FL Studio. Should the green blinking lights on In and Out be blinking? What am I doing wrong?

  • Hi Robert,

The MIDI out will only light up if you are sending a MIDI signal from FL Studio to
your keyboard. You should see a slow blinking USB light, and the MIDI In light
that responds to your keys, or MIDI device. What are you connecting to the Uno?
Try reversing the Uno Midi cables at your MIDI device.

  • I am trying to connect my Roland EM-305 Intelligent Synthesizer to my Velocity Micro Z40. I went to the "Configuring FL Studio for use with M-Audio devices" link you told me about. In the Audio Input/Output drop down menu, I didn't see anything with M-Audio in the name. Based on what I did see, I downloaded and installed ASIO4ALL v2 but I don't think my sound card, which is integrated in my mother board, can use it. (but I really don't know since I am a computer noob.) I tried reversing the cables, but that didn't work. I heard I should have the "to MIDI In" cable go in the "out" on my keyboard and the "to MIDI out" cable go in the "In" on my keyboard. But I still only see the slow blinking USB light on the Uno when I press the keys on my keyboard. Do you know what I am doing wrong?
